It is time to take advantage of the city’s untapped residual resources. Valuable energy and plant nutrients are accessible in the city’s water and wastewater system.
Fish and vegetable farming produces side streams of beneficial nutrients, which can be used in farms and as greenhouse nutrients in rural areas. What was previously thought of as waste, is an important resource in modern cultivation systems.
The progress in closed, circular and sustainable cultivation systems has only just begun and we are now moving from test beds to large scale.
The event will introduce you to GreenFood Group and Agtira as they are joining forces in the work on urban farming. Take the chance to learn more about the untapped residual resources of the city. What was previously thought of as waste is now an important resource in modern cultivation systems.
